| Is There Fruit On Your Tree? |
 |
|
By Pastor Kirby Jones
When a child is born, one primary factor in
determining his/her overall health is their rate of
growth. During every visit to the pediatrician, an infant
is weighed and measured to determine whether or
not they are growing at a healthy, normal rate. Every
doctor knows that one warning sign a child may have
serious health problems is stunted growth. It is sad
to see a 3 year old that is the size of a 12 month old. It
doesn't take a medical degree to discern that there is
a problem somewhere. As sad as it is seeing a
person that has not grown physically, it is equally as
tragic when a child of God does not grow spiritually.
Although, there are many things beyond our control
when it comes to a child's health, there's no excuse
for the stunted spiritual growth that plagues the body
of Christ.
The Apostle Paul made it clear the goal of every
Christian was to become more like Christ. Even as
great a Saint as we esteem Paul to have been, by his
own testimony, he never ceased to seek greater
heights in his Christ-likeness. He said in Philippians
3:13-14: "Brethren, I count not myself to have
apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those
things which are behind, and reaching forth to those
things which are before, I press toward the mark for
the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
As Christians, our daily lives should be characterized
by the same desire that Paul had. With every
experience, decision and circumstance we too should
press toward (pursue, follow after, chase) spiritually
growth.

| Life Screening |
 |
|
Awareness is empowering. Learn how the lives of two
women were changed forever by a screening. You will
also learn how to catch AAAs early, get some
important facts about vascular disease and take a
quick quiz.
Thanks for reading, and please share with family and
friends. We are proud to be part of your healthcare
program.
Why are Screenings
a Good Idea?
Doctors with a stethoscope heard no indication of a
blocked artery, but an ultrasound vascular screening
revealed the truth for Reva Everett, age 59.
Catch AAAs Early
It can happen in an instant. An aneurysm can burst
and the consequences are often fatal. Learn more
prevention.
What is Vascular
Disease?
Vascular disease manifests itself as different
conditions. Most forms present no symptoms or only
subtle ones. Get the facts.
Screening Added Years to
Nurse Aid's Life
Gladys, 68, is grateful she decided to be screened for
a reasonable price despite knowing her insurance
wouldn't cover the cost. See why she calls Life Line
Screening the "bargain of a lifetime."
Disease Prevention Quiz
Test your knowledge of the measures you can take to
protect yourself from serious diseases.
Guard Your Health With Simple Blood Tests
Identify your risk for heart disease and diabetes,
which have the same risk factors as stroke and

A Word from Bonnie |
|
|

God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so
that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but
have eternal life. John 3:16 (Holman)
Have you formed the habit of accepting and sharing
God's love? Hopefully so. After all, God's love for you
is bigger and better than we can imagine. What will
you do in response to God's love? Will you ignore it or
embrace it? Will you return it or neglect it? Will you
receive it and share it...or not? The answer to these
simple questions will determine the level of your faith
and the quality of your life. Embrace it, return it,
receive and share it! Peace, Love and Joy be unto you
all.
